The Senator is a 26" drop bottom rolling duffle.
The bag features a U-shaped zippered opening to roomy main compartment.
There is also an in-line skate ball bearing wheel system, a zippered accessory tray on the bottom. And front and side zippered pockets.
It comes with a detachable non-slip padded shoulder strap and self-repairing excel zippers.

A Good Duffel!

The CalPak Senator is a good duffle from a good company. I have purchased products manufactured by CalPak in the past. There is a "solid" feel to this duffel. The wheels roll smoothly and easily. The pull-out handle seems sturdy. I used this luggage for my recent trip to China (Beijing, Shanghai), and it worked well. I especially like the lower zippered compartment. It allowed me to compress some bulky items with minimal effort, and I fit a lot of things into my duffel for the international journey. The Senator is uniquely styled and it was easily recognized among the many other suitcases and duffels at the baggage terminal. I had a couple of minor problems with duffel. The new duffel arrived with a 3-inch tear on the inside lining. Shoebuy replace the duffel quickly. The second duffel had a small problem that surfaced later: One of the metal zipper pull-tabs broke off, likely due to a weak weld point. Again, Shoebuy replaced that duffel with another one. In conclusion, I like my CalPak Senator, and I appreciate Shoebuy's excellent customer service and return/exchange policy. I'm confident Shoebuy will stand behind what they sell. Thanks Shoebuy!

Great bag for a week long vacation.

I bought the CalPak Senator for a 1 week vacation to the Bahamas. Everything I needed fit just fine. My fins, mask and snorkel went into the lower comaprtment along with three pairs of shoes. Lots of room. I packed enough clothing for the 8 day trips in the top compartment. Again plenty of room. Well shorts, swim trunks etc don't take up much room but I also brought along 2 pairs of pants and nice shirts for a few nice dinners out, there was room for a few t-shirts and other items I bought while there to fit in the bag for the return home as well. My biggest disappointment was the size of the 2 end pockets. I like to set these up to keep daily need items seperate from the rest of the main compartment. They were just a bit too small to set up the bag the way I wanted. This Bag seems very durable and survived the baggage handlers so far.
