I bought the Eagle Creek Cross Roads 22 for a trip to Italy. I was looking for a carry-on sized bag that had it all--very light weight, wheeled, and convertible to a backpack. And the pack had to work for my petite size (I'm 5'1"). This bag meets all the requirements! In fact, my husband (6') liked this bag so much, he ordered one for himself too. Though we haven't taken our trip yet, I'm confident this bag will hold everything we need for our 3-week trip. Since we haven't flown yet, I'm not certain about how well it fits in an overhead compartment. The backpack straps are padded and there is a waist belt that helps take the load off your shoulders. The chest strap is adjustable so it works for a short or tall person. The pack is more comfortable than I expected. Also, the bag converts from wheeled to backpack very quickly and easily. The Cross Road's wheels are large and look very strong and stable. The bag expands in case I buy souvenirs along the way. Overall, this is a great bag in every way!

I wasn't prepared for how big this bag is- definitely enough room for A long weekend or A week's trip. The backpack straps are A little bulky when packed away but it's worth it when you are using them- big, padded straps. The overall construction quality is excellent.
