My middle schooler's backpack was too small for the laptop, textbooks, gym clothes, sneakers, and lunch tiffin he totes to school and back every day, so that's one was retired, replaced by the Odyssey. This fits it all, and has sundry pockets for the bus pass, calculator, pens and pencils, cell phone, etc. It's a monster (it's bigger than he is) but it does the job. His big brother has a similar Jansport (Airflight?) for 3 years, and it's uncomplainingly put up with plenty of abuse. Jansport seems to know how to make 'em.
