I purchased this bag because I liked the fact that it could be converted to a non-rolling bag. In hindsight, I'll probably never use that feature. I don't like that the "padded main compartment" is not truly a laptop compartment. The padding is minimal, and there's no strap to hold a laptop in place. I had to go out and buy a laptop sleeve to add padding and take up space so that my standard sized laptop wouldn't slide around. I've since found two bags that have more features for less money; they're just not convertible.
