it's over-priced and of inferior quality

I bought this bag because it is a different design, has a zip top, is a shoulder bag, and, with two-tone color, is versatile. According to Michelle Monroe's studio, this bag is made of Italian leather and has a silk interior. Yet, I could not find anywhere on the bag or the hang tag where it says this. The embroidery is very nicely done, and the bag is roomy, but that is where the accolades stop. The "leather" is very thin, which probably was necessary in order to embroider it. However, the thinness of the leather does not bode well for the remainder of the bag. There are creases in the leather around the seams. The bottom of the bag has a hard lining, to which the leather appears adhered. There are even more creases in the leather bottom than along the seams. I expect that at least some of these creases will crack over time. The bottom edge of the interior pocket consists of rough edges of the leather and the lining, which is already frayed and, consequently, will likely open up with use. Close examination of the handles suggests that the leather is not drum-dyed. There are no feet on the bottom of the bag and, in spite of an original price tag, no sleeper bag.

What a fabulous bag. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. I was looking for a neutral bag that I could carry with all colors of clothing and not have to take more than one handbag on a trip. This is it! The leather is gorgeous. The interior is a luxurious suede. I feel almost guilty for paying this little for what is obviously a very high end bag. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I love this line, Michelle Monroe bags are made from the finest leathers, Swarovski rhinestones. All her designs are so unique I always get so many compliments on her bags. These prices are very reasonable for this high quality designer.

I own this bag as well as several others by Michelle Monroe. I continue to buy them because of their excellent quality and unique design. The fact that they are made in the USA is also important to me. I have given these bags as gifts much to the delight of the recipiants who are now Michelle Monroe collectors. I enjoy wearing a bag that doesn't look like everything else on the market.
