A versatile piece in a strong, extremely lightweight 30-denier triple-ripstop silicon nylon.
Use it as a carry-on or farmer's market bag -- the tote has a reinforced bottom with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, is ultra light, and doubles as a backpack with breathable FreeFlow shoulder straps and a zippered closure with adjustable drawstring.

As with anything made by Patagonia, this bag is tough, especially for something that weighs so little. It holds quite a bit, and is perfect to take on a trip when you might return with more than when you started. If you do some shopping on vacation, etc., then just open up the bag and throw stuff in. One caveat, though, is that it is not that comfortable for long periods of time as a back pack since the straps are not really designed to be used as such. Otherwise, a great bag overall - light, packs down to the size of an apple, opens up to hold a lot of stuff, fairly rugged/tough.
