Since the description for the bag is a bit sparse, I wasn't sure whether I'd like it or not. The black leather is of a substantial but supple matte nubuck-type which is especially nice in the 1 1/8" wide strap that really grips the shoulder and does not slide off (a very pleasant surprise) and rests snugly against the side of my body. The strap has a drop from about 14" to 22" to top of bag. The front pocket on the front flap has a zipper that goes across the top and down one side (where it has a gusset to keep things from falling out). I like the wrap around design feature on one side of the front flap. Adds a bit of style. The back open pocket is the full width and heighth of the bag. Has one velcro closure in the middle.When I first unpacked the bag, I thought the stitching on the top extensions looked a little wrinkled and sloppy, but with the weight of the contents, it sort of straightened itself out. All in all, I am very happy with this bag. I'm glad I bought it.
