I bought this for my husband because his was falling apart. The leather is smooth. The inside compartments are all either material or leather with no plastic that will fall apart. It is slightly larger than his existing, however, it easily fit all the stuff he had in his previous one. He says it is comfortable in his back pocket. I would buy this product again. Very reasonably priced.
