Great bag! July 06, 2007
Reviewer: Ewur T from Madison, WI
Without question, the Clava 1153 Upright is a terrific bag--both in look and functionality. I bought the black one, and have had it now for weeks. The bag is actually somewhat bigger than it looks in the online pictures, so I was pleasantly surprised about that. The leather is smooth and you could literally feel the quality.I have a minor quibble with it: I was disappointed that the 2 "belt buckle" locks that are so clearly displayed on the pictures of the front of the bag are actually fake and that that locks are really "push-down" buttons hiding beneath those buckles. The buttons are too small and it takes you quite a while to be able to push them down to lock them in place. The button locks look flimsy and untrustworthy. I feel that after a while, they will wear out and that flap of the bag would become unlockable. I would really have preferred to have those strong-looking buckles! But the bag is working beautifully now.

Awesome Laptop Backpack March 04, 2006
Reviewer: Rita from Connecticut
The leather is luxurious and the bag has all the right pockets in all the right places. My previous backpack was thicker--this one is streamlined and there's less of a chance you'll bang into somebody in a crowd. Only drawback is the shoulder straps could have one or two more holes punched in them to make it fit more snuggly. I expect this bag to last a lifetime.

Briefcase/backpack February 15, 2006
Reviewer: Peggy from Kentucky
Great bag in that it has a shoulder strap and backpack straps. I have a large Dell Precision Laptop and it fits in the bag fine. I wish it had a few more pockets but it has several and I probably try to carry too much. The interior lining does not appear to be very strong and that is the only thing that bothers me about it future wear. Overall the bag is very attractive and well organized and I am happy with it. I have several briefs, etc. but the design of this one makes it my favorite.

Versatility at its best February 06, 2006
Reviewer: Taama Forasiepi from Dallas, Texas
I really like this breifcase. It carries everything I use, ie. laptop, hard drive, cables, PDA, and notebooks. Lots of little pockets, too. But yet it is not bulky when empty. I really love the leather, too. It is soft and smells great! There is a metal bar built into the top under the handle for added support and duability.

happy customer January 05, 2006

The backpack briefcase was a gift and both the recipient and I were totally satisfied. There was no difference between what the site described and the product. The breifcase itself was high quality.

Great Case December 11, 2005
Reviewer: Jerry B. from Lititz, PA
Got the light brown color, it is very classy looking and can carry by handle, shoulder strap, or back pack straps. Divisions inside are very functional, holds enough reading for coast to coast flights and more. I have used it for week long trips and it carried it all. Balanced with back pack straps is great with a shoulder strap as well. Great purchase!

Best Briefcase I've Ever Owned December 11, 2005
Reviewer: Dave from Ojai, CA
I have tried numerous briefcases over the years but this was the first upright I've tried. I recommend the upright design instead of the standard type. It is easier to carry, store in your car and it makes it easier to grab things that you need. The leather is soft and the metal hardware is high quality. My only concern is the lining is a little thin, which may result in tears. But overall, I'd buy this again.

I wish it more expandable. I like the layout and compartments.
